Management is what managers do. It is a process of doing things systematically. It is related to conversion of inputs to output by using interrelated series of operations or functions for achievement of desired goals.

Various definitions are as follows:

· Management is getting things done through and with other people

· Management is defined as the creation and maintenance of internal environment of the organization where people work together in groups to perform efficiently and effectively for predetermined goals

· Management is art of making best use of resources like men material, money and market.
